Privacy
Short version: we collect no personal data, set no cookies and do not track you.
What this site does not do
- No cookies, no local storage and no other data stored in your browser.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no social media buttons.
- No sign-up, no forms, no comments.
- No third-party scripts, fonts or images. Every file is served from this site.
Your calculations
All calculations run in your browser. The values you type are not sent to us or anyone else. To make results shareable, the values are written into the part of the address after the “#”. Browsers do not send that part to the server, so it stays on your device unless you share the link yourself.
Hosting
The site is static files hosted by Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). When your browser requests a page, it sends technical data such as your IP address and browser type. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf to deliver the site. Cloudflare also uses some of it for its own purposes as an independent controller, mainly to protect its network against attacks and abuse, as described in its privacy policy (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy). The data may be processed outside the EU, including in the USA. Cloudflare, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to give an adequate level of protection. We do not use Cloudflare’s logs or analytics and do not try to identify visitors. We have the site hosted on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Links to other sites
The calculator pages link to the sources behind the formulas. If you follow such a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Our pages ask your browser not to send a referrer to other sites.
Who runs this site, and your rights
Ohmsums is a small, non-commercial project run by a private individual in Denmark. Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is normally nothing for us to give access to, correct or delete. Requests about the server logs, such as access or objection, can go to Cloudflare at sar@cloudflare.com. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, www.datatilsynet.dk) or to the authority in your own EU country.
